2月4日(火)7限、Global Presentation Contest 2024を開催しました。このコンテストは、OBF開校当初から続く伝統あるイベントです。

今年も3つのチーム が3年生の選択科目での予選を勝ち抜き、決勝に進出しました。各チームは 5分間の英語プレゼンテーション を行い、その後 3分間の英語での質疑応答 に挑戦。どんな質問が来るかわからない中、瞬時に英語で答える力が試されました。

審査員には本校のNETに加え、特別審査員として ECC国際外語専門学校からネイティブスピーカーのおふたり をお招きしました。発表生徒の担当教員や保護者は、どこまで成長した姿を見せてくれるのか、また、１年生は先輩たちがどのような発表をするのか期待をしながら見学しました。

発表では、これまでの3年間で培ってきた 聴衆を引き込むようなプレゼン技術 や 自信を持って伝える力、入学当初と比べて大きく成長した英語力など、生徒たちの成長と努力の成果を感じることができました。

特に全員が見学した１年生にとっては、先輩たちの堂々とした発表に大きな刺激を受け、 2年後の自分たちの姿を思い描く貴重な機会 となりました。

今年も生徒たちの頑張りが感じられる、素晴らしいコンテストとなりました。来年も、さらにハイレベルな発表が期待されます。

Global Presentation Contest Held 2024!

　On Tuesday, February 4th, during the 7th period, we held the Global Presentation Contest 2024. This contest has been held since OBF opened.

　This year, three teams reached the finals after winning the preliminary rounds in the third-year elective classes. Each team gave a five-minute English presentation, followed by a three-minute English Q&A session. They did not know what questions they would be asked, so they had to answer quickly in English.

　The judges included our school’s NET and two native speakers from ECC Kokusai Gaigo Senmon Gakko, who joined as special judges. Teachers and parents watched to see how much the students had improved. First-year students also watched with excitement, wondering how their seniors would present.

　During the presentations, we could see how much the students had grown over the past three years. They spoke with confidence, used skills to interest the audience, and showed better English than when they first entered the school.

　For the first-year students, it was a great chance to learn from their seniors’ presentations and to imagine themselves presenting like this in two years.

　It was a wonderful contest that showed the students’ hard work and progress. We look forward to even better presentations next year!
